Shopping is a key fabric to what makes New York City so great, and our beloved city is home to some of the world’s biggest flagship stores, one-off boutique shops, and everything in between. Even though many say shopping malls are fading fast, NYC begs to differ because these centers are chalk full of stores to fulfill your next spree! Here’s where to spend a few hours browsing the shelves…
1. Westfield World Trade Center
Located right in the heart of the World Trade Center, the Westfield is built around the Oculus of the World Trade Center Transportation Hub in Lower Manhattan. The shopping center boasts over 100 stores and restaurants including Apple, Eataly, Stuart Weitzman, Sephora, and many more. They also frequently host events and holiday happenings, and is only steps away from attractions like the One World Observatory, , and more.

2. Brookfield Place
Brookfield Place resides in Battery Park City, and consists of 14-acres and 5-buildings of shops, restaurants, and experiences. It’s most known for the plentiful designer boutiques, lifestyle brands, and waterfront dining options that are available to browse. Plus, there’s always art installations, events, and seasonal activations going to enhance the shopping experience.

3. The Shops at Columbus Circle
Seeing over 16 million visitors annually, The Shops at Columbus Circle is a landmark shopping destination just steps away from Central Park. With a diverse selection of over 50 retail shops and boutiques, like Alo, H&M, Williams Sonoma, Coach, and more. It’s also a top-notch dining destination as well that features some of NYC’s best restaurants like Bad Roman, Momofuku Noodle Bar, and more.

4. The Shops at Hudson Yards
One of NYC’s hottest and trendiest neighborhoods, Hudson Yards, is home to a shopping center of over 100 shops, restaurants, offices, public art, and plazas! You can shop luxury brands, apparel, tech, plus more with storefronts like Dior, Levi’s, Muji, and more. As for other attractions, there is also the EDGE observation deck, a cutting-edge art center The Shed, and more.

5. Macy’s
The flagship of iconic department store Macy’s is in Midtown Manhattan, and it’s so freakin’ big it’s basically a mall. It spans 11 different floors and hosts some of the biggest brands like Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Clinique, Estée Lauder & Levi’s®. It’s also incredible to see during the holiday season when the Thanksgiving Parade marches through it and Christmas when it’s illuminated with lights and window displays.

6. Queens Center
Celebrating its 50th year last September, Queens Center is the only enclosed mall in the entire borough! It’s the most visited mall in NY, welcoming in over 1.5 million visitors per month. Their store selection includes many popular retailers including Abercrombie, Apple, Adidas, and a brand new Zara which just opened in November!

7. Empire Outlets
This 350,000-square-foot retail complex in Staten Island is the perfect place to score your next shopping deal! The outlet mall is located just steps away from the Staten Island Ferry, and is home to tons of retail outlets like Guess, Nike Factory Store, Old Navy Outlet, and more. It makes for the perfect shopping day trip.

8. American Dream Mall
Although it’s right outside NYC in East Rutherford, NJ…we promise you’ve never seen a mall like this before. It’s more than just a shopping center but a true entertainment and retail destination. With more than 450 stores, it’s the second largest shopping mall in the US, and even features an indoor amusement park, water park, ice skating rink, escape rooms, and so much more! 9. Bloomingdale’s
Department store Bloomingdale’s has a Midtown location that has anything from men’s suits and women’s dresses to home goods. It’s got all the essentials from their iconic makeup counter to brand new shoes and handbags. There’s also a new-ish location in SoHo too!

10. Staten Island Mall
Boasting itself as the only indoor mall in Staten Island and the 2nd largest shopping center in NYC, this shopping center has over 100 stores and restaurants including Apple, The Container Store, Dave & Busters, Lidl, Shake Shack, Sephora, Ulta Beauty, Applebee’s, Outback Steakhouse, and more.
