First look at Showtime's celebrity-filled cast for the return of Hall's version of serial killer Dexter Morgan.
Dexter Morgan is returning — again — and this time, he has plenty of celebrity friends.
Coming on the heels of the prequel series Dexter: Original Sin, below is a first look at Showtime‘s upcoming sequel, Dexter: Resurrection.
The show returns Michael C. Hall as the vigilante serial killer character. The series picks up immediately after the events of the 2021 limited series Dexter: New Blood, where Dexter Morgan is revived after being shot by his son, Harrison (Jack Alcott).The series follows Dexter “as he grapples with his actions and the potential consequences, including the return of his late adoptive father, Harry (James Remar), and a possible new mission from an underground network.”

The series features David Zayas reprising his role as Detective Angel Batista from the original Dexter, as well as many newcomers, including Uma Thurman as Charley, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine as Blessing Kamara, Kadia Saraf as Detective Claudette Wallace, Dominic Fumusa as Detective Melvin Oliva, Emilia Suárez as Elsa Rivera, and Peter Dinklage as Leon Prater.
Guest stars in this debut season include Neil Patrick Harris, Krysten Ritter, Eric Stonestreet and David Dastmalchian.
Original series showrunner Clyde Phillips (who also headed up Original Sin) is back as showrunner, with executive producers including Hall, Scott Reynolds, Tony Hernandez and Lilly Burns, with Marcos Siega serving as producing director. Monica Raymund is set to direct four episodes with Siega directing six episodes.
Production is underway in New York, and the series is slated to premiere this summer on Paramount+ With Showtime.
